Getting started

  1. Open Link Clipper once after installing — it registers the Safari extension.
  2. In Safari, go to Settings › Extensions and turn on Link Clipper.
  3. Pin it to the toolbar for one-click access (right-click the toolbar › Customize Toolbar).

Click the Link Clipper toolbar icon on any page. The cleaned-up URL — tracking parameters removed — is copied to your clipboard.

Open the extension’s popover and pick Plain URL or Markdown as your default — every click then copies in that format until you change it.

Link Clipper strips common tracking parameters (like utm_*, fbclid, gclid) from the copied URL automatically — there’s nothing to configure.
